Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Sitting in the middle of vineyards and rolling fields, this home's location in the Dordogne is the French countryside at its most picturesque and the living quarters are totally in keeping with this bucolic scene. There's an inimitable rustic charm to the interior's wooden ceiling beams, rough-hewn walls and tiled floor, but don't let this fool you into thinking that it's old and weathered – the owner restored this building after taking ownership and there's a contemporary sheen that is testament to the care and attention it's received. Step out the door and you'll see a comparatively recent addition to the address in the shape of the swimming pool that's sure to be appreciated during the warmer months. There are plenty of peaceful spots to relax in the sloping garden full of flowers and shrubs – a perfect setting for sampling some of the owner's wine that she produces herself. When it comes to seeing a little more of this region, the nearest village is Saint Antoine de Breuilh only 3km away and Saint-Emilion – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is a half-hour drive away. There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor excursions and hikes, as well as jaunts to medieval villages and chateaux, too.

Host

This home is managed by Oliver

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
